NYUK Hunter with Amboyna Burl Scales
Let the swirls and grain of these handle scales mesmerize you senses. I chose this set of Amboyna burl handle scales due to the unique blend of grain and swirl patterns and after sanding and buffing the burl of this wood really pops. They have been hand sanded to 1500 grit then buffed to a high sheen. Brass pins also add to the deep swirls and patterns found in this unique wood. The blade itself has been sanded with a sheen finish with hidden bevels. The sheath is made from 6 oz. leather and has been left natural with an initial thick rub down of Neatsfoot oil and a final application of Skidmore’s leather conditioner. The hand stitching was done using 1.0 cream tiger thread. The top belt loop will fit anything up to a 2” wide belt
